Rail guides and blocks are the products that are used in the mechatronic systems for linear moving with certain precision and speed. Rail guides are equipped with blocks of correspondent standard size to which the platform with movable cargo is fixed.
Moving along the guidance rail is carried out by means of gearing system (Ball screws, rack-gear) and servodrive (page reference), or manually.
Rail guides and blocks are classified by standard size corresponding to the static and dynamic loads. In practice, guides of 20th standard size (in 90% of cases) are usually used, which carriage could move cargo with weight up to 150 kg. Several carriages could be placed on one guide, herewith load capacity increases.
Rail guides and blocks are manufactured of the following standard sizes: 15, 20 25, 30, 35, 45, 55, 65.
Carriages are divided on the following types: ordinary, flanged, ordinary extended and flanged extended. Difference – overall dimensions and load capacity.
Guidance rails are mostly used in the machines, coordinate tables, systems of video and photo recordings, medical equipment, hoisting mechanisms, etc.
The leaders of manufacturing of rail guides and blocks are the companies of Asia and Europe. In Spain, the leaders as for price/quality ratio are rail guides and blocks of two manufacturers – SBC Linear Co (South Korea) and Hiwin (Taiwan).
FTL Company offers rail guides and blocks manufactured by SBC and Hiwin from 15 up to 45 standard sizes from warehouse and on order.
